I’m thrilled to announce that my piece “Ignoramus Alpha” was acquired by the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Limoges (France), to be part of its permanent collection. One of the largest and richest collections of enamel art, spanning from the Middle Ages, Renaissance to modern and contemporary enamel paintings and objects.
From May to November 2022, I exhibited three of my larger enamelled steel sculptures in Limoges, France. As part of the enamel & metal festival IMPERTINENTE, nine international enamel artists, including myself, were invited to be part of the exhibition CONVERSATION at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Limoges. There, our contemporary art pieces were exhibited in between the historic enamel collection.
I feel very honoured that now a piece of mine is part of the museum, and I want to sincerely thank the director François Lafabrié and his team for their trust, as well as the curators Lise Rathonie and Jean-Marc Ferrer for inviting me to the exhibition that made this possible.
